Praia da Areia Branca is located 65 km north of Lisbon. It is a typical spa with very little foreign tourism.

The dreamily long sandy beach with its innumerable surf spots offers a lot of waves for each surfer. Remote beaches without other surfers can be reached after a short walk to the adjoining bays.

Praia da Areia Branca
is located about 15 km south of the little seaport Peniche. Its beaches are Europe’s best surfing area. The waves of the legendary surf spots Supertubos or Lagido are ridden by surfers from all over the world. Our bus shuttle takes you to the best waves and the most beautiful beaches of this area. Some of the nearby located bays are so-called “secret spots” as shown on the picture on the left side. Their locations are only reluctantly published by the local surfers.

Praia da Areia Branca

is a typical spa of the Portuguese people. There are fortunately only very few hotels or vacation installations, nevertheless, during August the beaches are quite animated, since many locals from the surrounding villages come to take a bath. There is a lifeguard who watches the beach a lot of these typical beach tents. If you like to escape this bustle, just pass one or two bays and you will soon find a lonesome bay again.

At the boardwalk there are a few small cafes and a restaurant. The place is particularly suitable for families with adolescent children, since there is a very nice and manageable nightlife. It is easy to get into contact with local teenagers. The express bus from Lisbon to Peniche stops as well in this village so that you are independent also without a car of your own. Every day a small market takes place where you can buy fresh fish for the barbecue.
